eggless chocolate cake

Do you love chocolates as I do?? If yes, you are reading the correct blog. Today I am going to share the delicious chocolate cake recipe with you all. Chocolates are everyone’s favorite be it, kids or adults. People like cakes that include eggs in it but I personally prefer eggless cakes so I am sharing the eggless chocolate cake recipe. We all know how to bake a cake in an oven but we don’t really know how to make a perfect cake without oven, Yes, you heard it right! Today we will make the cake in the pressure cooker (my favorite method). Preparing a cake in the pressure cooker gives wonderful results for me and I am sure from now on for you as well. The recipe is simple and you do not require any special ingredient to prepare the cake.

The cooking time may vary depending on the size of the pan and the amount of the batter you are using. I made a small cake that took me barely 50 minutes to bake it right.

Things to Note:

  • Do not fill the pressure cooker with water.
  • Do not use the rubber ring of the cooker.
  • Always use a stand or plate at the bottom of the cooker to make sure the heat is spreading evenly to the cake.
  • Always use the slow flame to bake the cake perfectly.
  • Take extra precautions before baking a cake in the pressure cooker so that you can save yourself from being injured.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp of baking soda
  • ¼ cup of cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup of unsalted butter
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½  cup of water
  • ¼ cup oil
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp of vanilla extract

Step by Step Guide to Prepare the Cake

  1. Take a bowl; whisk all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda together.
  2. Set them aside.
  3. Take another bowl, mix the butter and sugar together, and whisk it until it comes together. You would not require any electric beater for that; we can get the good results by whisking it all together.
  4. Add oil in it and whisk again until all the ingredients mix well with each other.
  5. Now add water and cocoa to this mixture and beat until the cocoa powder has fully blended.
  6. Add the vanilla extract in it and mix it again.
  7. Now add the flour in two intervals, mix the ingredients gently after each addition. Do not over mix, just mix the batter until it becomes lumps free.
  8. Now grease the small cake pan with butter and pour the mixture in it.
  9. Gently tap the pan on the shelf of your kitchen for a couple of times to remove the air bubbles in it.
  10. To bake the cake perfectly you need to preheat the pressure cooker by placing the stand at the bottom of the pressure cooker and closing the lid.
  11. Heat the pressure cooker in the medium flame for about 15 minutes until the cooker is hot.
  12. Now place the cake pan into the cooker.
  13. Close the lid and keep the flame low.
  14. Cook the cake for about 40-45 minutes. You can check the cake by inserting the toothpick into the cake until it comes out clean. You can check it from its other indication: the cake leaves the side of the pan which is a good indication that the cake is cooked well.
  15. Remove the cake from the pan and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  16. After cooling it down invert the cake onto the plate and cool the cake completely before cutting it.
  17. You can garnish this cake with the cream using the multiple layers.

It’s really simple to bake the cake perfectly if you make it by following the complete instructions. If you want to make a bigger cake you can just double the quantity and it would result in a spongy cake.
